Church Organ Recital

7:30 pm

All will be welcome to join us at this recital which will be played on the recently-refurbished organ. Our church organist, Robert Loveridge, will lead the recital, but will be accompanied by his family members, Mark, on percussion and Anya-Jade on guitar.

They will play classic organ pieces as well as popular transcriptions at what promises to be an enjoyable evening of musical entertainment.

Built in 1877, the organ had fallen into a state of disrepair and a campaign was launched in 2016 to raise the £28000 required to entirely dismantle and refurbish it. By the end of 2017, this target had been reached and the restoration work began and was completed by February of this year. The organ has been played since April 2018 at Sunday services but this recital will be the first time that its impressive sound will be able to be heard at a public event.

Further details will follow, including the ticket price, as funds raised will be going to church funds.
