Points of View

Comments from Landkey residents on matters of relevance to the village are shown here. If you have a matter that you would like to comment on, please feel free to submit it on the "Your Point of View" page.

From Geoffrey Goldsworthy on 13th March 2014:
I to would like to complain about the amount of vehicles speeding through our village, I find it happens throughout the day. The amount of vehicles parking on bend's is another thing to be looked into. I think the use of some double yellow lines are called for.
Emma Marshall (Councillor) sent this reply on 14th March 2014:
What I will do is find out from the other councillors what we can do regarding this problem and get back to you. Hope this is ok.
From Alison Maddocks on 9th March 2014:
With the weather (eventually) becoming better, I would like to mention the persistent culprits who, with no consideration to others, think that it’s perfectly ok to light bonfires during the day. We all want to enjoy our gardens, put our washing out and leave our windows open.
From Becky Houghton on 12th February 2014:
Anyone wanting to share their views on the proposed development of 250 houses off Birch Road in Landkey can e-mail them to landkey@devonshirehomes.co.uk. Or by post to: Remarkable Consultation, The Pump House, Garnier road, Winchester, SO23 9QG. NO LATER THAN 24TH FEBRUARY 2014.
From Becky Houghton on 12th February 2014:
Re: the proposed development of 250 houses, please look at the Facebook page which has just been set up so we can share our views. Devonshire Homes have been invited to it so they can gauge the general feeling. https://www.facebook.com/Landkeydevelopment.
From katrina Lang on 10th February 2014:
I attended the meeting today for the proposed new housing development of 200-250 houses at birch road. I did not meet one person from the village who supports this plan. I would like to know if anyone has or is about to start up a action group concerning this hideous proposal. If there is anyone thinking about this please contact me.
