From Vicky Bryan on 28th August 2013:
Hi, I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but there are no street lights along the main through road between 12.30am and 5.30am. Along with the side streets. I can understand there not being a lights on the side streets, but the main road is very dark and wonder if there should not be one light every 3 maybe.
I leave for work very early in the morning and have found it quite unnerving. I thought I read that the lights on the main road would be left on when it was first mentioned that the lights would go out.
Emma Marshall (Parish Councillor) sent this reply on 30th August 2013:
I have found out that the Parish Council had asked for Blakeshill Road to be left out but the views weren't listened to. I will bring it up at the next meeting Weds 4th and see if I can give you any more info.

Hope that's ok for you.

From emma marshall on 23rd August 2013:

we are raising money for the clients at newlands lodge to enjoy a christmas meal at the barnstaple hotel. Also its a good chance to come and see the lodge for yourself.
From emma marshall on 7th July 2013:
Hope some of you can make it to the Parish Council meeting on weds eve. We will be discussing the 10k run and festival. If there is anyone that can help out on the day with marshals or volunteering or if you would like to hold a stall then please come down. It is 14th September on the Landkey playing fields.
